Aussie golf trip

How's this, two entries in the space of a week, I wonder if I'll be able to keep it up.

Here's a couple of photos from my recent eight day golf trip to Aussie. Day one started with someone picking me up from our place at 2:30 Sunday morning, we flew out from Hamilton at 6:20, landed at Brisbane at about 8:45, met up with our tour guide who took us to the Sunshine coast, we stayed at the Peninsular apartments building. Dropped out stuff off and went to play golf, we were out on the course by about 12:30.

Play golf eight days in a row on eight different golf courses, Headlands, Twin Waters, Tewantin - Noosa, Hornton Park, Hyatt Coolum, Caloundra, Noosa Springs and Pelican Waters. All the courses were amazing with lots of sand and water, kangaroos and crows that stole your food if you didn't hold on to it. I was playing with one guy who had his sandwichs in the front of the cart wrapped up and a crow came down picked them up, took them behind a tree and came back in to sight eating them while his crow mates just laughed. Another occasion saw a crow take a whole pack of chips (crisps) from the cart and eat them with his mates. All pretty funny if it wasn't your lunch.

Well back to the golf, we played four resort courses and here's a picture of the 11th hole at the Hyatt Coolum, home of the Australian PGA tour. I bounced my ball off the bit of land in front of the green into the water, ended up making a 5 I think. Here's a GPS screen in one of the carts, it give you a map of the hole and shows you how far you are away from any hazards and the hole, that's pretty cool. You could also score on the screen and print your card out at the club house when you'd finished. Here's the guys that I went with, there was fifteen of us all together from the Paeroa and Te Aroha golf clubs. The trip ended with us getting back to Hamilton about 12 midnight on Sunday the 24th, I think a got home about 3am, all ready for work that morning, still haven't caught up with everything yet.
Had a great time and I'm looking forward to doing it again some time, not in the near future, hoping to get a game of golf in in China if it's not too much and a couple in England may be, see how we go.
Well that's it from me, catch you next time, Richard.
